Have You Been Searching for an Effective Approach That Helps Children, Teenagers or Adults with Dyslexia, ADD, Memory or Attention Difficulties?
Do you know a child, teen or adult who shows average or above average intelligence, yet has difficulties with concentration, reading, spelling or keeping up in the classroom? You may be worried about the effect this will have on their self-esteem and development, both academically and socially.
Instead of turning to radical remedies, your child may simply require an approach to learning that is different from the standard methods used in the classroom. There are a broader range of effective yet uncommon techniques and tools available that can improve memory and concentration, leading to improved attention in the classroom, the ability to complete homework and a love of learning.
Essential Learning and Tutoring specialises in treating learning differences like dyslexia, ADD, ADHD, or more general memory and concentration issues through one-on-one tutoring and assisted home schooling. We help those who struggle in mainstream education, where their learning differences may be misunderstood.
Individualised Dyslexia Support
Some may prescribe a one-size fits all treatment for dyslexia or ADD, but because we understand that no two people are the same, we stress the importance of a tailored approach to each individual. We use a combination of techniques like attention training, multisensory clay construction, the Spalding method, memory training and visual imaging to the best effect for each individual. Our programs help the child make sense of phonograms and rules unique to the English language, often for the first time after years of traditional schooling.
Many parents have come to us desperate for a solution after trialling many mainstream techniques, as a treatment for dyslexia or ADD. In some cases these solutions may only mask the symptoms instead of treating the underlying problem. With our range of techniques and our unique approach to learning we have been able to have a profound effect on the way these children learn - improving their social, academic and personal wellbeing.
